OCT 2024
First up on the finds table are the 4 ginger beers from Halstead, Southampton, Gosport and Portsmouth. These were bought in a job lot by John. Pity he never washed them !!!
David brought in the Sykes Mcvay, Stansfield brothers Ripley bottle which was dated at 1877. Pretty scarce find.
Royston brought the blue late cognac bottle.
Eric brought the impressed ginger beer. R E Tigar, late Allen and Lloyd and the Nichol & Co, Colchester beer.
The T C Chesterfield mug was Bryans contribution, Celebrating Empire Day 1928 presented by the mayor of Basingstoke.
Graham brought along the Crowley Alton flagon.
Royston brought along the late Zummerset Zyder jar.

The evenings comp was very disappointing. My favourite blue. 2 entrants. A small blue (Royston) and a Day & Sons chemical extract (David). Guess what won - the small blue.

Finally Bryan put on his show of 14 ginger beers, all local and all pictured at bottom of page. Great selection.
Next meeting Weds 13th Nov.
