FEB 2022
Tonight we had a fish and chips evening. Good attendance
Mick announced the sad news that one of our old former members, Peter Holmes, had recently passed away. Can remember going digging with him. His funeral is on 25th Feb.
On the finds table tonight we have 2 cream pots. These were two of David's Ebay purchases. His other find was the flagon KAY, OAK HOTEL, KINGSTON STATION. Apparently it dates around 1870 and was from the Oak Hotel, adjacent to Kingston station. I don't think it is there any more.
The whisky pumpkin was dug by Mick. W C GUBBINS, SWAN & HELMET, NORTHAMPTON.
The round plain bottle was Joe's. Nothing spectacular but the base had a load of writing which looked foreign.
The ink was an Ebay find by Micky. Embossed on 3 sides XLCR -  MORRIS & GRIFFIN -W'HMP (which is probably Wolverhampton)
