DEC 2023

We held our Christmas meeting today. Members brought along a few nibbles which we all stuffed on together with wine and soft drinks. We also brought along Christmas cards for the members.
Everyone was happy how the show went and all looking forward to the March one.
On the finds table Eric brought along 3 stoneware items. First the great condition OINTMENT ANTI GAS NO 5 pot complete with original lid. The J H JONES from Hanley, Leicester, Birmingham and Nottingham. The MARLBOROUGH ginger beer. All picked up in a job lot.
The early wine bottle was a 1/2 size mallet from around 1720. David bought it from a guy who had several bottles for sale but when he received the package it turned out to be the wrong bottle. Luckily the seller still had it so he sent on the correct one.
Mick's small amber drop bottle bottle with overall height of 2.75 inches is quite an unusual size.
The CRUSE & CO COLD CREAM LID from SOUTHSEA was bought by Bryan in the AA auctions.
