DEC 2018

December is traditionally the clubs Christmas social meeting. Good attendance of members. Picture of the spread put on, although this was taken halfway through proceedings, after the members plates were filled. At end of meeting we always auction the leftovers at giveaway prices.
On the finds table was Mick's 3 inch tall French Lumiere et Cie Perfect Skin Food. No idea of age as never come across one before.
Micky showed off his green cottage ink. It does have some rainbow irridescence on top but unfortunately couldn't pick it up with the camera.
Mick brought the pressed brass Courage beer cockerel. This is 13 inches tall and is in unused condition. Probably dates around 1960's.
The small Gordons Gin was found in an antique fair by Graham. Quite a late bottle but unusual to have the word DUMMY etched on to front.
Bryan's green codd was originally found 10 years ago without a neck. It has the wording CODDS PATENT 6 LONDON SE embossed on front. He gave it to someone as a gift. 10 years later it was gifted back to him having been professionally repaired. Amazing job.
Graham picked up the Mumby, Portsmouth impressed GB from North Devon. Must have been taken there by a day tripper back in the day.

Mick found this Harp Lager Cribbage set. Probably a giveaway to it's staff from Harp, which used to have it's brewery here in Alton, before Coors took it over. The site is now empty awaiting redevelopment. The box only measures 4 x 3 inches and cards, pegs and instructions are included.
John brought along the Oxford Maths Instruments tin. Probably dates around 1960's as I had one like that at school.

The connoisseurs raffle was once again free to all members attending the meeting. Prizes being purchased at the last Alton show
